Marinade For Steak

Serves: 4

Ingredients:

  • 80 ml Safari Brown Grape Vinegar
  • 80 ml soy sauce
  • 60 ml canola oil
  • 30 ml soft brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 5 ml Hot English mustard
  • 10 ml chopped rosemary
  • Salt and freshly cracked black peppercorns
  • 4 x 250 g sirloin steaks

Method:

  • Whisk the vinegar, soy sauce, oil, sugar, garlic and mustard together. Add the rosemary and salt and pepper to
    taste.
  • Put the steak into a zip lock bag and add the marinade. Push out the air and seal the bag. Marinade for at least 30
    minutes. Alternatively, place in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over. Turn over after 15 minutes.
  • Braai over hot coals until the steak is done to your liking, basting every now and again with the marinade.
  • Serve with rocket, Caprese salad and chips.
